Trebuchet

 

 

Purpose:

 

• Propel an object at targets that are different distances away. Build a trebuchet designed to hit targets at different ranges (distances). Adjustable features to be able to hit multiple targets.

 

Directions:

• Design

   

 

• 1) The most challenging part about building this project was to fix the wire and the weight position in our structure. We could not find the wire but our previous one was broken and we made two different wires with the different types.

 

• 2) To overcome the challenge to create a successful project we used a send boxes for the weight and the wire, also we made a special box on the top which helped to hold the ball and fly it good.

 

• 3) The most difficult aspect to control when launching an object was to fly the ball in a direction which we want, our weight was not in a good position, we could not fix it properly but we pass the test successfully, our wire was on the way to break but it survive at the 2nd time.

• Final Launch

 

•      4) In final test we could make 3m but hit the box with 2m on the 6th try, before we was only touching the box and the cardboard, we knocked down the cup and successfully pass the final test. We could not hit the box inside because as I said our structure was no control because of the weigh, weight was moving and the ball could fly in any direction.

•      5) To improve OUR results we want to make a good weigh which will consist of a small size and heavy weight. And to make the wire stronger or change it to the stuck (iron).

 

•      6) I don't want to change our design it was a good structure which pass the final test, I want only to change the specific details which I already mention before.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

• Reflection

 

• 7) I actually learnead a lot in every projects we were using, I like this class and going to miss this time! I like every projects we were doing and improved a lot!

 

• 8) I learn from this project that as more weight you have on your structure as farther the ball will fly. 

 

• 9) We can use it in the war, so we know how to use it! =) 

 

• 10) Think outside of the box =) create something that maybe you won't make it anymore in your life. Design your own structure.
